Expectations of Parents

To minimise risk, focus on wellbeing and ensure children are able to access the curriculum, we request that parents: 

  • adhere to the 2m minimum social distancing AT ALL TIMES

  • keep to designated routes and times 

  • refrain from gathering inside or outside the school grounds

  • follow the one-way system when on the school grounds

  • provide a packed lunch where necessary 

  • ensure that the school office has been provided with any updates for medications and that medication is in-date (please contact the school office to arrange a drop off for new medication) 

  • Inform the Office immediately on 0161 223 2805 should your child have a positive COVID test or if your child has had contact with anyone that has been tested positive for COVID.

  • inform the office of any bereavement or specific issues relating to their child (before returning) 

  • call or email the office with any queries/information (the office itself will be closed to parents)  

  • wear masks on the school grounds at all times

Expectations of Pupils

We expect pupils to: 

  • adhere to social distancing as appropriate to age 

  • wash their hands thoroughly and regularly as directed 

  • use a tissue to catch a sneeze, cough or runny nose and throw it in the lidded bin provided 

  • cough into the elbow if the cough comes before a tissue can be provided, not into the hand 

  • keep to one-way systems and follow the rules  

Expectations of School

In school, we will: 

  • keep up-to-date with the latest guidance and developments and respond accordingly 

  • ensure parents receive regular communication about changes/important issues  

  • ensure children’s wellbeing is a focus for all ages 

  • tailor the education and revise our curriculum in light of the varied experiences of lock-down and the pandemic 

  • ensure the behaviour policy provides clear reference to children who do not adhere to safer practices during this transition period (see below)

Alternatively, you can use the post box located outside of the main school front entrance.

Our main aim is to keep the school COVID-19 free and open therefore we politely ask that if you have any queries you use the above channels rather than speaking to staff at drop off and pick up times. This is to ensure that safeguarding the children is our priority at these key times.

There is a one-way system in place to ensure the safety of all and help with the traffic-flow of people entering and leaving the site. We ask that you follow the one-way system in place as shown in the map below:

There is also support available through the local food banks as follows:

  • The Oasis Centre, 929 Hyde Road, Manchester, M18 7FB - Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 10am-2pm.

    Please contact J. Turner in the school office so she is able to notify the food bank and a food parcel will be prepared.


Referrals can also be made to Wood Street Mission, Manchester throughout the year. The Christmas deadline is Saturday 19th November.

We also endeavour to apply for toys through Mission Christmas through Hits Radio. If you wish for support with this, please contact the office, however we cannot guarantee this as it is dependant on demand and toy availability.
